In this Knowledge 2 Connect seminar, Nele and Muguet (both information specialists at KCGG) will provide a concise overview of the key steps, tools and resources involved in conducting a high-quality systematic review, from formulating the research question and developing a search strategy to screening, data extraction, quality assessment, synthesis and reporting.

A particular focus will be placed on literature searching, including common pitfalls and practical considerations for developing a sensitive search strategy. The use of AI tools will also be briefly discussed, with attention to their potential benefits and limitations.

The seminar provides a clear starting point for beginners, while also highlighting new developments and tools that may be of interest to those with previous experience. It is particularly relevant for researchers and clinicians who want to find, assess and use scientific evidence more effectively in their work.
